Principal's Corner

My name is Crystle Gallegos and I'm honored to be the new assistant principal at Mt. Vista K-8 School. Our superintendent, Mr. Dennis Blauser and I are excited to work together as we focus on innovative curriculum, quality instruction, and the daily operations of our school. I look forward to working primarily with our Pre-K through sixth grade while Mr. Blauser will primarily oversee seventh and eighth grades.

I strongly believe that providing our children with a quality education is the greatest investment we can make in both our community and in our collective future. As a school leader, it is my responsibility to ensure that all students at Mt. Vista K-8 School are safe, respected, academically challenged, and provided opportunities to discover their individual strengths and interests.

I'm a proud graduate of the University of Arizona and Northern Arizona University. Before transitioning from the classroom to school leadership, I taught Social Studies to seventh and eighth grade  students in the Flowing Wells School District. I have served as an assistant principal for the past five years. My experiences as an assistant principal include supporting grades K-12, the implementation of a successful PBIS program, college and career readiness initiatives, development of community partnerships, and earning the Arizona Education Foundation's A+ School of Excellence Award.

When I first read, Small Town Roots, Global Expectations on the Oracle School District website, I immediately wanted to know more about the district and community! Now a proud member of the Cougar family, I look forward to working with Mr. Blauser and the Mt. Vista staff support the mission of the Oracle School District and provide an innovative and boundless educational environment that develops adventurous learners and responsible citizens by supporting student achievement and growth.

Communication with families, the community, our staff, and students is of great importance to me. I can be reached via e-mail at and in the Mt. Vista Office at 520-896-3003.

I look forward to meeting you soon and an exceptional school year!
